Who we are

Family Health International and the Kenya Medical Association have joined hands in an innovative and exciting new venture to equip private practitioners in Kenya to provide high quality HIV care to their clients.  FHI and KMA have collaborated for many years to upgrade the services of private practitioners in health care and this latest project called the Gold Star Network will concentrate on providing antiretroviral therapy and related treatment for Kenyans with the HIV virus.

The Gold Star Network model is a way of providing reliable and affordable quality care where people actually go for treatment. It brings together the providers under one umbrella network, facilitating access to quality services. Private practitioners who are members of the Gold Star Network have agreed to adhere to quality and brand standards, as set by FHI and KMA and approved by the Government.  In exchange, the Gold Star Network members receive safe quality drugs, technical support and regular training, hence enabling them to provide quality services to patients.
